In Chinese, Bodhi means 'awakening' or 'to know', and Chi means 'life force energy'
In 2007 I connected with a Buddhist group to learn meditation. It was after some struggles between 2002 and 2007, that I chose to empower myself to deal with these challenges.
Meditation was powerful in helping me to connect with my inner voice and intuition. I became centered, grounded, and learnt to observe life without emotional fear and attachment. It helped to improve my quality of life and relationships, and helped me to find my Purpose and Passion.
Mindfulness practice has helped me to look at life differently and be open to the messages that my challenges and experiences are teaching me. There is a lesson to learn in everything. Also, the way we live determines our experiences in life. Your experiences are a reflection of your inner world. What do you need to change within yourself? When you change, you will find that there will be a shift in your external environment and circumstances for the better.
I am passionate about Inspiring people and helping them to experience the Bliss and Vitality that they were designed to feel. I now teach Mindfulness Practice, a meditation, to help empower people to Transform their lives, improve their relationships, and improve their potential in their field of work or sport.
My path in Natural Health and Wellness began with Meditation practice in 2007. I have since studied and qualified in a number of Alternative and Complementary Therapies that bring about Healing and Wellness - body, Soul, and mind. Since 2010, I have been slowly making changes to a greener organic lifestyle with remarkable results! A very special old family friend, who now resides in the states, has been a wonderful Mentor and Teacher for me; he is a Dr of Natural Health and has been guiding and inspiring me since 2011. I also learnt a lot from a friend who cured cancer naturally in 2012. I am now taking my Passion further with studies in Biomedicine and Nutrition to qualify as a Practitioner of Natural Health. It has been a tough journey....but well worth it! There have been challenges...but numerous accomplishments and rewards too...and of course...Bliss for doing what I Love most! My Passion pushed me to simplify my lifestyle in a very big way...so that I can have more time to focus on my Passion.
My desire to spread health and wellness has led me to sign up as a Course Consultant for CNH, the College of Natural Health (known as CNM in the UK), in August 2015, assisting to enrol new students. In September I was promoted to the part-time position of Director of Studies for Durban and Pietermaritzburg.
On 24th October I was privileged to be on the judging panel of Body Beautiful SA 2015...with a number of South African Athletes who have made great accomplishments. Interestingly, I had an epiphany in May 2015 that I was going to be involved in something around fitness....so it was no surprise when I was invited to join the judging panel. I feel that this event is reigniting my interest in the fitness industry again too, and so I am looking to take up some studies in this area at some point, as well as participate more in these kinds of events; particularly with the vision of encouraging right Nutrition and Natural Practices. I was very much into weight training in my twenties around 1997, and progressed very well, but was far too shy to compete at the time. And then....just three years later...I began the sport of dance in Ballroom and Latin American Dancing, and I competed in the National Championships in Pretoria in 2000, placing in all four divisions, receiving one gold, two silver, and one bronze. I have since taken up Yoga and Callanetics, and I am looking at exploring Calisthenics. I love living an active lifestyle and keeping in shape. In 2002 I also had a stint on radio when I was selected to compete for a spot as a Jock on East Coast Radio, I reached the finals, it really was a fun experience!
Although I am passionate about Health and Wellness, I am also first and foremost an Artist. I was very talented and creative from the time I first picked up a pencil...it really was a gift and came so easy to me. For some reason...I lost my hands and creative energy for thirteen years. However...since September 2015 I am beginning to get my hands back! I am sketching a little. I can't wait to start painting again! I am going to try and be brave...and post my art here once I have managed to complete some pieces. I look forward to your support.
When you begin to follow your Passion, make sure that you surround yourself with people who love you and support your dreams and visions. Sometimes a change of environment is necessary to help bring focus. Find a Mentor to inspire and drive you.
Just don't give up! People who deny their Bliss and Passion often experience the consequences in their health and well-being. It is your body and Soul's way of trying to get your attention and show you that you are not following your Passion and Purpose. Living your Bliss will bring you great joy, strength, health and vitality!
